Well, I've completely slacked off again. I've been too busy with my new hobby-digital scrapbooking! So, I'll try and post some of the layouts I've done, and that will also serve as some recent pictures for our family!
Things have gone great, overall for us. Crazy and busy, as always. Let's see if I can do a quick update in 100 words or less:
John - still busy doing that lawyer stuff and keeping the ward on track as counselor in the bishopric!
Me - trying to keep house clean, kids clean, and scrapbook it all in between! I also just got a new calling, I've been put in over all the music in the ward, as well as part-time organist and the choir director. Can we all say "scary"? And I'm not talking about scary for me! I figure that a few weeks of Sam joining me on the organ, the choir singing "Take me Out to the Ballgame" and hiring an electric guitarist for sacrament meeting, might be enough to get them to rethink the calling! Okay, so probably the only probable one to happen is the first.
Chipper - busy playing Little League and making amazing catches while doing the splits, just ask him! He's about to turn 11 in just over a week, and I'm in complete denial. When did I get so old?
Mitchell - just turned 9, completely obsessed (but in a good way) with building roller coasters on his new computer game. I should have known that anything that would give him the power to design something would be a hit!
Abby - turned 7 at the beginning of this month and got a surprise trip to Disneyland with some of the girls (mom, grandma, aunt Amy, Melissa, Mykayla and Regan). We had a blast! She also got a new haircut this month and looks adorable.
Sam - is making amazing progress with his speech. He is trying so hard. Our absolute favorite saying is "ah man" and he uses this daily. Just tonight, he had cleaned off his plate and walked back over to the stove, looked at the empty pan and said, "ah man". It was too cute! Good thing for him that mommy was willing to share.
Olivia - besides running the family and telling us what to do all the time, she is quickly becoming a two year old! I can't believe that my baby has been replaced with a toddler. But, even as bossy as she is, she is such a doll and a blessing to have around. She is perfectly adorable (yes, I'm a bit biased). She is talking great, especially to herself. Today, we were working in the yard, and she fell down. Before I could say anything to her, I heard her say "you alright? yes, I alright" I guess when you're the fifth child, you get good at consoling yourself!
So, did I do it? Was that 100 words or less? Probably not. I don't think I've ever covered anything in less than 1,000 words! LOL!
